Yukon launched last week as a disciplined gold grid. Within a week, the same question kept arriving in messages: "Can I run it with a fixed stop-loss instead, so I know my maximum risk per trade?"
v2.0 answers that. Two new Pattern engines sit next to the original Grid, each with a clean 1:4 risk-reward. The Grid stays exactly as it was. You choose which engines to run.
The three engines
- Grid Classic. The original Yukon. Enters with gold momentum in its active hours, averages adverse moves at flat lots, exits the basket at a calculated profit. Suits traders who like a high-win-rate engine that earns its way out of pullbacks.
- Pattern Long. Disciplined H1 price-action analysis on the upside. On a clean signal it enters one long with a fixed stop-loss and a fixed take-profit at four times the risk. Lot size calculated from your account.
- Pattern Short. The same on the downside. Same fixed 1:4 risk-reward, same percent-of-balance sizing.
Each engine has its own magic number, its own risk control, and runs independently. Run only the Grid. Run only the Patterns. Run all three together for the strongest combined edge.
The numbers
Continuous real-tick backtest on XAUUSD, January 2025 to May 2026:
Grid Classic only, the conservative profile:
- Net over 17 months: +30%
- Annualized: +21% per year
- Maximum drawdown: 4.9%
- Profit factor: 3.90
All-In Combined. Grid + Pattern Long + Pattern Short:
- Net over 17 months: +98%
- Annualized: +69% per year
- Maximum drawdown: 9.6%
- Profit factor: 1.55
Pattern Long and Pattern Short carry a fixed stop-loss on every trade. The Grid stays under its hard equity cap (default 10%) on every tick. The worst case is the number you chose in advance, by design.
Worst case = the number you set
Every grid buyer asks the same question on day one: will this blow my account? In Yukon, the answer is built in. You set a share of your balance as the cap, default 10%, and Yukon closes the basket on the same tick the cap is reached. Every time. The 10% default held with comfortable headroom through 30+ months of real-tick validation across calm markets, trending years and sharp corrections.
What changes for existing customers
Yukon v2.0 lands as a free update for every existing customer. Open the MQL5 Market in MT5 and the update arrives automatically. Your settings carry over. The Grid behaves exactly as before. The new Pattern engines are off by default; turn them on when you want them. This is the lifetime-update promise from the launch, delivered.
What changes for new buyers
Current price is $369. As Yukon builds its live track record, the price will rise further. Buy in now and lock in today's price. Every existing customer gets every future version at no extra cost.
Notes
- Yukon trades XAUUSD on a hedging account, the standard MT5 account type for grid strategies.
- It runs live on the chart and inside the visual Strategy Tester, so you can watch the panel build performance during a backtest.
- All trading carries risk. Backtest figures, not live trading. The live track record is being built now. Start on a demo account and size to a level you are comfortable with.
