Hosting and infrastructure

This website is hosted on servers operated by NexoSystems (Germany). All core data remains within the EU. No personal data is transferred to third countries outside the EU.

Authentication (Supabase)

We use Supabase Auth with email-based one-time passwords (OTP) for login. The following data is processed:

• Email address (for sending codes and identification)
• Session data in a functional cookie (not for tracking)
• User profile (name, email) stored in our Supabase database (EU region)

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

Payments (Stripe)

Payments are processed via Stripe, Inc. When you make a purchase, your payment details are transmitted directly to Stripe. We do not store full payment data ourselves - only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Analytics (Umami)

We use Umami, a self-hosted, cookieless web analytics solution. This means:

• No cookies are set for analytics
• IP addresses are not stored
• No personal data is collected
• Compliant with GDPR without a consent banner

AI Trading Coach (Anthropic / Claude)

The Trading Coach uses the Anthropic API (Claude) directly, with OpenRouter as a fallback provider. Please note:

• Chat messages are forwarded to Anthropic (or OpenRouter as fallback) for processing
• Conversation history is stored in our database
• Uploaded images (chart screenshots) are not stored - they are processed in memory only
• You can delete your conversation history at any time

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in providing the service.

Trade-Log Coaching (Pro/VIP)

When you upload a MT4/MT5 account-history report as a Pro or VIP member, we use the contained trade data exclusively for your personal coaching with Max. Specifically:

• What we store: your trades (time, symbol, side, volume, price, profit) and derived patterns (e.g. win-rate by hour)
• What we do NOT store: account numbers, broker names, login data, plaintext names - these are automatically stripped before storage
• Where: Supabase EU region, encrypted, RLS-isolated (only you have access)
• Third parties: Anthropic (LLM provider, primary direct integration) when you ask Max something - aggregates become part of the coach context. No routine transmission of the full trade list, no marketing, no cross-user aggregation.
• Retention: as long as your Pro/VIP membership is active + 6 months, or up to 24 months after last login
• Consent: on first upload you actively confirm via a checkbox - consent is logged with a version number (GDPR Art. 7)
• Withdrawal: you can delete all trade logs at any time from your profile - that also automatically revokes your consent

This data is not used for AI model training, not aggregated across users, and not used for marketing.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of your Pro/VIP membership contract).

Max's memory

So Max can support you consistently across sessions, he remembers factual trading preferences (such as your preferred session or the markets you trade) and observable patterns from your conversations. Only factual observations are stored, never psychological or emotional assessments. The data is stored in the Supabase EU region and only you can access it. You can view, edit and delete everything anytime in your profile under "What Max remembers", and switch the feature off there entirely. The data is never used for training, marketing or cross-user analysis.

Community

The community forum is integrated directly into stein.investments. Forum posts are visible to logged-in users. You can edit your own posts.

Translation (DeepL)

Community posts can be translated on demand via the DeepL API. Only the text content of posts is transmitted - no personal data. Translations are cached in our database.

Email (Resend)

Transactional emails (login codes, notifications) are sent via Resend, Inc. Your email address is shared with Resend for delivery purposes.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access - right to access your stored data
• Rectification - right to correct inaccurate data
