Hosting and infrastructure

This website is hosted on servers operated by NexoSystems (Germany). All core data remains within the EU. No personal data is transferred to third countries outside the EU.

Authentication (Supabase)

We use Supabase Auth with email-based one-time passwords (OTP) for login. The following data is processed:

• Email address (for sending codes and identification)
• Session data in a functional cookie (not for tracking)
• User profile (name, email) stored in our Supabase database (EU region)

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

Payments (Stripe)

Payments are processed via Stripe, Inc. When you make a purchase, your payment details are transmitted directly to Stripe. We do not store full payment data ourselves - only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Analytics (Umami)

We use Umami, a self-hosted, cookieless web analytics solution. This means:

• No cookies are set for analytics
• IP addresses are not stored
• No personal data is collected

AI Trading Coach (OpenRouter / Claude)

The Trading Coach uses the OpenRouter API, which routes to Claude (Anthropic). Please note:

• Chat messages are forwarded to OpenRouter for processing
• Conversation history is stored in our database
• Uploaded images (chart screenshots) are not stored - they are processed in memory only
• You can delete your conversation history at any time

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in providing the service.

Community

The community forum is integrated directly into stein.investments. Forum posts are visible to logged-in users. You can edit your own posts.

Translation (DeepL)

Community posts can be translated on demand via the DeepL API. Only the text content of posts is transmitted - no personal data. Translations are cached in our database.

Email (Resend)

Transactional emails (login codes, notifications) are sent via Resend, Inc. Your email address is shared with Resend for delivery purposes.
