SI Connect

SI Connect is a background Expert Advisor that runs silently in your MetaTrader terminal and handles the data connection between your platform and Stein Investments servers. It downloads external market data, manages the local cache, and makes that data available to any SI product running in the same terminal. Several SI products - including FX Volume, SIEA PRO NG, and TAURUS EA - require SI Connect to function. It is free to use and has no subscription requirement.

How traders use it

SI Connect runs in the background and requires no ongoing interaction. The standard setup is: open MT5, attach SI Connect to any chart (a separate, dedicated chart works well), wait for the status indicator to confirm the connection, then attach your other SI products normally. From that point, SI Connect handles data delivery automatically - including reconnection if your internet drops, and timezone adjustments as daylight saving changes occur in different regions.

For traders running multiple SI indicators or EAs, SI Connect acts as the single data pipeline. You do not need multiple instances for multiple products. The auto-detection feature means SI Connect identifies which products are active and fetches the relevant data sets without manual configuration. If you restart your terminal, SI Connect reads from its local cache immediately and re-establishes the server connection in the background, so there is no gap in data availability on startup.
