Shows how much of the Average Daily Range a currency pair has already consumed. Three configurable zones at 80%, 100%, and 130% help you assess whether a move has room to run or is approaching exhaustion. MT4 and MT5.
FX Dynamic tracks how much of the current day's Average True Range a given price move has already consumed, expressed as a percentage. Three configurable zones - typically set at 80%, 100%, and 130% of ATR - show whether a move still has room to run or whether price has already traveled most of its expected daily range.
A common use case is late-entry filtering. A trader sees a strong breakout on EURUSD but realizes it started three hours before they checked their charts. FX Dynamic shows the move has already consumed 95% of the daily ATR. That doesn't mean the trade is wrong, but it changes the position sizing and the expectation. A full-size position chasing a move that's already near its statistical daily limit is a different proposition than entering at 40% ATR consumed.
Intraday traders use the 80% zone as a soft exit signal or a reason to tighten stops. Once price approaches the 100% line, a pullback or consolidation becomes more likely than continued extension.
All forex pairs and any instrument with ATR data. All standard timeframes. MT4 and MT5. SI Connect optional for improved session timing accuracy.
Attach FX Dynamic to your chart and configure the three zone thresholds to match how you define overextended moves in your trading. If you run across multiple sessions or timezones, connecting SI Connect improves the GMT calculation accuracy. The tutorial at https://youtu.be/I419QEwxqWQ explains the zone logic, how to set the threshold alerts, and how to use the multi-symbol panel for session-wide monitoring.
[Power Candles](/products/power-candles) provides the strength context that tells you why a move is happening; FX Dynamic tells you how far it's gone. Running both gives you both the quality and the quantity dimension of any given move. [FX Trend](/products/fx-trend) adds the directional filter, and the Smart Stop indicators use ATR data for stop sizing - combining FX Dynamic with [Smart Stop Indicator](/products/smart-stop-indicator) creates a coherent ATR-based approach from entry timing through to stop placement.
