On August 28, 2026 gold ran against an open grid on all three terminals. Two baskets reached the equity cap, and Yukon closed them on the spot at the ten percent line. The third worked its way back and closed in profit. The two capped accounts now sit below their starting balance.
Nineteen months of real-tick backtesting kept the cap at a comfortable distance. Three months of live forward ran it to the line and showed what a backtest window cannot: at gold near 4,600 a basket reaches that ceiling sooner than it did at 3,000, because the ceiling stays a fixed share of your balance while the load grows with the price. That is what a staged forward test is for.
The cap did exactly what it was built to do. It is the one number in Yukon you set yourself, and which engines run at all is your call too: the Grid, both Pattern engines and the Breakout switch on and off on their own, and every combination on this page is its own measured run. Pick the profile you can sleep with.
Why do the three differ? Yukon’s pattern entries are strict geometric definitions, and brokers quote highs and lows a few cents apart. On borderline bars that difference decides whether a trade fires, so trade counts diverge between feeds and even out over time.

Yukon 4.1 runs four engines on XAUUSD: the original Grid, Pattern Long and Pattern Short, and the new SmartStop-gated Breakout. Every number comes from a full real-tick run of exactly that configuration, and the verdict tells you whether your account runs it as measured.
All-in with 10,000 EUR on a 1:20 account: every engine trades at its designed size. Expect a drawdown around 575 EUR (5.8%) on the way to the measured 7.0% per month, compounded.

Minimum capital is measured, not estimated: every configuration was run again at 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 and 5,000, and the floor is the size at which its drawdown stays within a fifth of the 10,000 profile. Below it the broker's 0.01 lot floor makes every engine trade larger than designed, and the amber figures are those measured runs. Margin per lot is the IC Markets figure for a EUR account as of 10 October 2026, 18,728 EUR at 1:20; the other leverages scale from it.
Continuous real-tick backtests: XAUUSD H1, 10,000 EUR, January 2025 to August 2026, every combination and both news modes measured as their own runs. Core events are the FOMC statement, the rate decision and CPI: in that mode grid and patterns pause around those alone, while the breakout engine keeps pausing around every event, which is how 4.1 ships. Average month is the compounded figure over that window. Past results guarantee nothing.

Yukon launched as a disciplined gold grid: enters with momentum, averages adverse moves with flat lots, exits the basket at a calculated profit. That suits traders who like a high-win-rate engine that earns its way out of pullbacks.

Yukon works a single field, XAUUSD, and it works it well. It reads momentum on gold and enters in the direction of the push during its active hours. As price ebbs against the entry, Yukon adds at a steady, even spacing, lowers its average and sets up a clean exit. Once gold recovers past that average, the whole basket closes. Every leg is the same size. Linear exposure in straight steps, with risk you can chart in advance.

This is what makes Yukon a disciplined tool. Five guards run on every trade, around the clock. The first is the one that matters most.
The market-state layer
Yukon reads the gold market's state every day: trend, transition, range, volatility. When the daily range stretches beyond its normal regime, new baskets pause and open ones stop adding legs. And since 3.0, pattern entries only happen when the state favours them, including dip windows in confirmed downtrends that simpler filters block. What wipes gold robots out is trading every phase the same way. Yukon does not.
Equity cap
You set a share of your balance as the line a basket must stay below. Reach it and Yukon closes the basket itself, before a bad run becomes a bad day. The default cap of 10% held with headroom through two years of validation, and on August 28, 2026 it closed a live basket at that line on two of our three forward accounts.
Live news protection
Yukon pulls a curated feed of high-impact USD events and stands every open basket down in the window around each release. Every news spike meets Yukon with closed baskets. The protection depth is selectable, and both modes are measured.
Weekend flat
Yukon stands down before the close on Friday and carries nothing through the weekend gap. Monday opens with a fresh state.

Every gold-grid EA gets the same question on day one: will this blow my account? Yukon answers with a hard ceiling on every basket, a share of your balance you set yourself, enforced on every tick.
- You pick a share of your balance as the cap. The default is 10%, validated on years of gold data.
- That share is the maximum floating loss any single basket may carry.
- Reach the cap and Yukon closes the basket the same tick. Every time.
- The pattern trades carry their own fixed stop on top, each a small, defined percent of balance. Discipline on every position.
In 30+ months of real-tick validation the 10% default held with headroom in every regime. On August 28, 2026 gold ran it all the way to the line on two live forward accounts, and Yukon closed both baskets on the spot. A ceiling with a date on it.
