You tuned Power Bar to a symbol, switched the timeframe and started all over again. Traders asked me to change that, and they are right: the values you work out for a symbol are the real work. In 1.2 the active tab and your setup values come back after a timeframe change, a symbol change or a terminal restart, with the setup values kept per symbol.

The panel comes in the new glass design and keeps one height in every tab. The minus on the right of the header folds it to a single line. The gear in the footer opens the settings page, so you set arrows, lines and alerts right on the chart. The switches for all alerts, buy signals and sell signals are saved per chart.

The signal arrows now sit behind the candles, and the lines of past signals are fine and dotted, so the candles stay readable.

The idea behind Power Bar: a candle runs far past its neighbors, and what comes next is anyone's guess. Signal indicators gave me an arrow to trust. I wanted to see how the market behaves after such candles.

Power Bar marks every extreme candle once it has closed and tests three readings of them against the history of your chart: trade with the candle, trade against it, or follow the change of direction between extreme candles. For each one you see trades, win rate, profit factor and result. With the +/- buttons you set how extreme a candle has to be, along with stop and target, and the numbers recalculate on the spot.

An alert reaches you when an extreme candle closes. Power Bar runs on any symbol and timeframe in MetaTrader 5, and the Power Bar Scanner searches your watchlist the same way.

The panel counts the raw moves before spread, slippage and swap, so read its numbers as a pre-selection. A reading that holds on one chart can fall through on the next, and showing you that is what the evaluation is for. When to enter stays your call.

If you own Power Bar, 1.2 is a free update in the MQL5 Market. One note for the update: the zoom input is now called PanelZoom, and a saved preset or template starts at 100 for this one value until you set it again.

New to it? This is week six of the autumn series: seven weeks, seven of my tools, each with its own week and exactly once, in a fixed order. Power Bar holds 59 USD instead of 79, 25% below the list price, until Sunday 18 October. Sunday night the list price is back, and it stays there.

Have a look, and see how your chart behaved after its extreme candles.
